In this session we are going to go over everything I do to produce portraits in my signature bold, raw minimal style.

We will cover:

  • studio and natural lightighting

  • single & two light set ups

  • a photoshoot where you get to shoot 2-3 different models putting into practice what you’ve learnt

  • getting the most out of & connecting with your subject

  • camera angles and how to use them to convey a message

This isn’t some wishy washy workshop where you just sit there and listen to me talk about myself.

YOU WILL BE SHOOTING. YOU WILL BE ASKING QUESTIONS. YOU WILL BECOME A JET

Everything I’ve learnt from shooting people since 2019 I want to pass onto you. Ill show you how to shoot and edit in my style, market yourself and give you the no bullshit run down on what its like to freelance and run your own business.

As creatives we are usually good at the ‘lets make pretty pictures stuff’…. but SUCK at the business side. In the afternoon session I’m gunna show you how to run your business so your not just going, ‘cool I’m a photographer now…. how do I make money appear’.

The morning and evening sessions are designed to be done together. We’ll be shooting in one of my favorite studios Yatoma Studio. A catered lunch will be provided for those attending both sessions.

Bring your camera, bring your laptop, I’m keen to meet you and make some dope work.

Hey, I’m Luke :)

I’ve been a photographer for the last 6 years and my passion has always been capturing the human element in all my photos. Whether that’s people sitting for their portrait, elite athletes going full throttle or documenting the locals in my travels.

When I’m not shooting commercially, I love helping people like you see the best version of themselves. I believe we all deserve at least one photo in our lifetime that makes us go, ‘OMG thats really me!’
