Well That Was Fun! - Portrait Masterclass Recap

I’m still on a MASSIVE come down from the weekend where I hosted my first Portrait Masterclass and Editing/Business/Marketing workshop. I had SOOOOOO much fun with an incredible group of people where we brain dumped everything I know on making great portraits, then got them to shoot their own.

We started the day with a hot brew ☕️ and me breaking down my process of both the technical and connection side of things I do when crafting meaningful portraits.

We then cracked into 3 different lighting set ups for everyone to put into practice what they learnt. I’m blown away with some of the portraits my guests took! They made some really great work with Alanna taking her favorite portrait she ever has.

I’m truly blessed to have had 3 beautiful models that I also get to call friends, lend their faces and personalities for us to capture on the day. I chose these guys because not only are they extremely good looking (unfairly so🥲) but they also have ENORMOUS personalities that my guests got to capture.
Models: Brett - Anouk - Attilla

After a ripper lunch catered for by my Jamie, we dove into the rabbit hole that is editing, business and marketing. It was great to share with my guests information and insights that are usually gate kept in our industry, so that they can find out first hand what works and what not to waist their time on.

I wanna give a shout out to my dude Nick Ravn for shooting bts for me, my favorite rental houses Pro Cam and Red Brick Studios for supplying us with gear and Yatoma Studio for there incredible space.

I’m so stoked that everyone had a great time and that I got to share my knowledge with a sick group of people. I’m already fired up planning the next workshops I have in mind for next year so keep your eyes peeled!
