I would like to coin the term 'Brand Pirate' - Someone who uses another persons brand by associating themselves with them to further their own.
Like Casey Greig and I talked about in our interview - paid, earned and owned advertising, i think that earned advertising is so powerful for brand reach and trust.
Being a Brand Pirate myself, (literally doing it in this interview) not only do you get the reach of someone else tagging, collaborating or posting content that you make with them, you also get the validity and trust of having them associate themselves with you.
This is a very effective strategy, especially when its done authentically (not just trying to ride on someone else's fame or achievements).
As AI is being used more and more for search, it highly ranks you if you are being sighted by multiple sources. So if someone else is talking about you, referencing you, tagging you - you are seen as a leader and ranked higher.
What's a way you can either include clients/peers in your content that helps further both of your brands or how have you done it in the past and its paid off? I wanna know!?
p.s I’ve started a podcast! All these elite individuals i get to shoot with that have burned the boats and gone all in on their missions - i wanna get their stories out their about how they built their brand, their frameworks and their struggles. Watch or listen on YouTube & Spotify
